It’s All In Him

The Songs in Apostolic Churches today are exhibiting a marked absence of Doctrine. I am ashamed and frightened. So, starting with the glorious revelation of who Jesus is, I post this old Pentecostal standard as a reminder to myself of the old days.

We sang that song in our service Sunday morning. Thank God we still sing the old songs that have so much meaning.

- Thank the Lord our church still sings the old songs and choruses. So thankful for a Pastor who still follows the old paths and landmarks. So glad to see you post this. God bless you…

I agree with you so much. My Dad loved this song and sang it in church all of the time. My Dad is in Heaven now. I hate that my kids do not hear songs like this one in church. Thanks for posting it!

What a great post! I’ve been greatly burdened lately by some of the music in Pentecostal churches today. We need more songs like this!

How many times can we sing Truth…over and over and over again…it never gets old…it’s deep within my spirit and soul…immovable…thanks for the timely reminder…

Let me first say that I like SOME of the contemporary choruses we sing in church today. HOWEVER–some of them are 7-11 songs (to quote Brother Murriel Ewing). Sing the same 7 words 11 times. We had better get back to the old songs that annointed song writers wrote while under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. We need to sing “what can wash away my sin?? NOTHING but the blood of Jesus!!”. We need to search our hearts as we sing “Cleanse me oh God”. We need to think about heaven as we sing Heaven’s Jubilee and Everybody will be happy over there!! Just for the record: I am only 52 years old so we can’t blame my feeling on me being a senior citizen who is stuck in the good old days.

I FULLY AGREE THAT THE ‘NEW’ MUSIC LACKS THE ‘OLD’ MESSAGE OF PENTECOST! I GREW UP WITH IT-TOO BAD THE YOUTH OF TODAY DOESN’T GET TO WORSHIP WITH ‘I’LL FLY AWAY’ ETC.

Generally speaking, if it don’t come over the pulpit, people will not know.

The altar and pulpit areas are the New Testament Holiest of Holies.

The priest was responsible for the performance of the washing, sacrifices and placing the sacrifice on the altar.

The person who stands behind the pulpit is responsible for delivering the convicting Word that brings the flesh to the altar so it can die, and emerge on the other side consumed by the Holy Spirit.

Have you heard the version of “it’s All in Him” that Indiana Bible College produced a few years ago? Takes this wonderful worship song and makes it just as powerful in a new way.
