God Is Voice Activated
God Is Voice Activated
Everyday tech life is somewhat new to the concept. But it has certainly caught on. Siri can make my phone do many things. Some of which I have to immediately correct. But she is voice activated.
Google even got on the bandwagon with a list of at least 70 commands you may give to “Okay Google.”
Everyday things in your home , you car or on your person can be voice activated.
- Light switches
- Thermostats
- Your car’s guidance system.
- Cell phones
- Recorders
- Watches
- Bluetooth’s
I Grew Up Being Voice Activated. Some Words That Put Me In Motion Were:
- Time to get up.
- Time to go to bed.
- Come here.
- Turn off the light.
- Sit up straight.
- Sit down.
- Quit that
- Be quiet.
- Wash the dishes.
- Take out the trash.
- Pick that up.
- Go to the store.
But, you already knew all of that because you too grew up being voice activated. Even your new puppy is voice activated.
Prayer Activates God – Just Ask
Can you comprehend the fact that we can activate the most Powerful, Holy, Glorious, Purest, and Loving Force in the world? Yes, you can! Your voice can activate God. He is ready at a moment’s notice to assist you. He is literally at your beck and call.
Imagine a day when people did not understand that. To them He was one they feared and hid from. Then He came and dwelt among His people and told them that He was willing to do for them whatever they asked. You heard me right. He said things like:
Matt. 7:7 Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:
Matt. 18:19 Again I say unto you, That if two of you shall agree on earth as touching any thing that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father which is in heaven.
Matt. 21:22 And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
John 14:13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
John 14:14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
John 15:7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.
Jas. 4:2 …yet ye have not, because ye ask not

Why Don’t You Ask?
Praise Activates God
The Singers Praised Him And The Glory Fell
2Chron. 5:13 It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the LORD; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the LORD, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the LORD;
2Chron. 5:14 So that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the LORD had filled the house of God.
The Army Praised Him And The Enemy Was Defeated
2Chron. 20:21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever.
2Chron. 20:22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.
Paul & Silas Praised Him And Everyone Was Set Free
Act 16:25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
Act 16:26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.
Why don’t You Praise Him?
Prayer And Praise Always Activates God.

When Jesus “Sleeps” Through Your Storm
When Jesus “Sleeps” Through Your Storm
Mark 4:35 And the same day, when the even was come, he saith unto them, Let us pass over unto the other side.
Mark 4:36 And when they had sent away the multitude, they took him even as he was in the ship. And there were also with him other little ships.
Mark 4:37 And there arose a great storm of wind, and the waves beat into the ship, so that it was now full.
Mark 4:38 And he was in the hinder part of the ship, asleep on a pillow: and they awake him, and say unto him, Master, carest thou not that we perish?
Mark 4:39 And he arose, and rebuked the wind, and said unto the sea, Peace, be still. And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm.
Mark 4:40 And he said unto them, Why are ye so fearful? how is it that ye have no faith?
Mark 4:41 And they feared exceedingly, and said one to another, What manner of man is this, that even the wind and the sea obey him?
The twelve men hung on to the sides of the boat for dear life. None of them could remember being in a storm this bad. They all knew horror stories of boats sinking and sailors dying in storms that weren’t as bad as this one. If they lived through it, this would be the storm they would talk about to their grandchildren.
The small craft was taking on lots of water. Spray from the sea had made sure they were all wet and soaked to the skin. Each wave bounced them like a bucking horse. Their chances of surviving this storm didn’t look good.
Their eyes made fearful and furtive glances at the man asleep on a pillow in the back of the boat. They looked at Him in disbelief. How in the world could anyone sleep at a time like this?
If they ever needed anyone to wake up and help them, it was now! They had never been so desperate. No one aboard ship could help them like Him and yet He, of all people, is comfortably asleep while their ship is ready to go down and their lives are on the line. Their boat was full of water.
- Can’t He feel the reeling and rocking of the boat?
- Can’t He feel the wet spray on His face and body?
- Can’t He feel the sloshing of the water in the boat?
- Can’t He hear them yelling emergency orders to one another?
- Why won’t He wake up?
- How can He sleep during a time like this?
They caught each other’s eyes in disbelief while shaking their heads. Their mouths were too fearful to utter what their minds were thinking. They knew that if He would only wake up, He could help. The problem was that Jesus was sleeping through their storm. Jesus, the greatest miracle worker they had ever known was asleep, as far as they could tell.
He was their Master. He was their leader. They were even in this boat right now because of Him. He had told them to take Him to the other side. No one wanted to be disrespectful to Him and wake Him up if He wanted to sleep.
The journey to the other side could cost them their very lives. The trip to the other side may well sink their boat. They had been safe where they had been. They had been without fear on the shore they just left. This journey to the other side was more than they could endure or survive.
They had rejoiced in amazement when Jesus raised the dead. They were astonished and joyful when they saw the leprous man healed by Him. He had even turned water into wine. Why wasn’t He turning this terrible storm into some kind of a miracle for them?
They were His disciples. Jesus was always busy healing and helping everyone else. They had left their homes for Him. They had not slept in their own beds in a long time for Him. He surely wouldn’t neglect or ignore the needs of His own disciples.
No one seemed sure of the proper way to wake Him. They had never had to do that before. He always seemed to be awake, aware and in control. But not now, when the needed Him the most.
The boat wrenched violently and shook them into action. Someone cried out, “Master! Carest Thou not that we perish?”
He immediately arose and rebuked the storm and there was a great calm. When He said, “Peace, be still.” The wind immediately stopped blowing. The waves stopped heaving and churning. The eyes of the twelve opened wide in disbelief at the amazing turn of events. It wasn’t just a calm, but a great calm. They knew He had worked miracles, but the fact the wind and the sea obeyed His voice, astounded them beyond words.
Jesus then turned to them and said simply, “How come you didn’t trust Me?” (“Oh ye of little faith!”)
Bro. Verbal Bean made the statement to our church while teaching on faith, which shocked me at first. He said, “God don’t care till you care.” I wasn’t ready to agree with him until he explained it, and to the best of my memory it went something like this…
“Think of all the trials you’ve been through and all of the difficulties you have faced, and nothing happened to change it for the better. God never just came and fixed the problem for you. Nothing happened until you got involved and you prayed and you asked for help. That’s when you got your miracle. When you got involved, God got involved.”
Maybe Your Storm Is A Bad Report From The Doctor.
Maybe Your Storm Is A Financial One.
Maybe Your Storm Is A Spiritual One.
Maybe Your Storm Involves Your Spouse.
Maybe Your Storm Involves A Wayward Child.
Maybe Your Storm Is Cause By The Overwhelming Grief Of The Loss Of Your Child.
To you, right now, it may appear that He is unconcerned about your storm. But, that is absolutely not true. “He careth for you.”
1Pe 5:7 Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.
- Do what the disciples did.
- Do what they did when they realized there was nothing else they could do.
- They called out to Him, and He immediately responded.
- When you get involved, He gets involved. It’s true!
Remember: Psa 121:4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.
He didn’t sleep through Daniel’s storm. He didn’t sleep through the Hebrew Children’s storm. And, He won’t sleep through yours. He, who is control of everything, is not really asleep when you need him.
Call Out To Him Now!
