“I Pity The Fool”

“I Pity The Fool”

According to Wikipedia, the 1980’s heard much from the vocal TV personality, Mr. T.  One ofmrt his famous quotes was, “I pity the fool.”

All I know about him is what I can remember from an occasional article in the newspaper or from someone’s comment. But there is much truth to his words, especially when they are viewed in light of the Scriptures.

Every fool is to be pitied. The Bible makes that very clear. Nothing good is ever said about a fool in the Bible. There almost seems to be very little hope in Scripture, for a fool to be saved.

*Saul, a king, admitted that he was a fool.

1 Samuel 26:21 Then said Saul, I have sinned: return, my son David: for I will no more do thee harm, because my soul was precious in thine eyes this day: behold, I have played the fool, and have erred exceedingly.

*General Abner, like a fool, stepped outside of God’s safety and died.

2 Samuel 3:33 And the king lamented over Abner, and said, Died Abner as a fool dieth?

*Half of the ten virgins were foolish. Those five were disowned and not allowed entrance into the wedding feast.
