What Do You Focus On When You Look At People?

What Do You See When You Look At Circumstances?

Do You Always Seem To Find The Bad And Ignore The Good?

(ESV) Philippians 4:8-9

8. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

9. What you have learned and received and heard and seen in me — practice these things, and the God of peace will be with you.

  1. How incredible! I’ve always thought of Philippians 4:8-9 to be used as a filter for the things of the world to protect our minds and hearts and keep spiritually clean. But what an elevating thought to use it in the way we look at other people! To only see and think about those things about others that are honorable, just, pure, etc… so simple but so deeply profound.

Even more incredible is that I read this post just after I asked the Lord to help me in 2012 to look at those people who bring hurt and pain to my life the way he looks at them … to see them through his eyes. This post is an answer to that prayer! Thank you Brother. And thank the Lord for being such a wonderful God!!
