I don’t believe I ever heard that preached from the pulpit, but my Dad lived that sermon. My own children (5), all married and doing well, are raising their own children. My wife and I have discussed, “Where did they learn their work ethic?” The “smart” wife in this family, always has said, “They saw you get up and go to work every day, even if you did not feel well. You pushed yourself from paycheck to paycheck.” I suppose some sermons are better “lived” than just “spoken.”
