The Deadliest Plague Of All

The Deadliest Plague Of All

Some Of The World’s Worst Plagues

  • The Back Plague – 375 Mil.
  • Influenza – largest killer in USA – 50 Mil.
  • Plague of Justinian – 25 Mil.
  • Plague of Athens – killed 1/3 of population
  • 3rd Pandemic of Bubonic- 60,000 a week
  • Cholera – 120,000 per day. 3.5Mil cases yr.
  • SARS – Global Threat #7
  • Malaria – 660,000 per day
  • Smallpox – 500 Mil.

The Worst Plague In The Church!

  • Not Adultery
  • Not Worldliness
  • Not Rebellion

The Worst Plague In The Church Is Gossip!

  • Gossip Def: Speaking negative about a person not present.
  • (Speaking negative with them present not good either.)

God’s Law About Hurting Others

Exodus 21:22 If men strive, and hurt a woman with child, so that her fruit depart from her, and yet no mischief follow: he shall be surely punished, according as the woman’s husband will lay upon him; and he shall pay as the judges determine.

MSG. Exodus 21:22 “When there’s a fight and in the fight a pregnant woman is hit so that she miscarries but is not otherwise hurt, the one responsible has to pay whatever the husband demands in compensation.

  • If the Church is God’s Bride, and Spiritual babies are about to be born…
  • Imagine the Father’s reaction when church folks get into a big fight and that fight stops Revival.
  • Everyone can expect the Father to exact damages.
  • He will exact damages. If not now, He will in the Judgment.

Know When To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 21:23 Whoso keepeth his mouth and his tongue keepeth his soul from troubles.

In the Heat of Anger – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Psalm 116:11 I said in my haste, All men are liars.

When You Don’t Have All The Facts – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 18:13 He that answereth a matter before he heareth it, it is folly and shame unto him.

If Your Words Make Your Family, Friends or Church Look Bad – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

James 3:6 And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell.

If You Think You Might Regret Your Words Later – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 6:2 Thou art snared with the words of thy mouth, thou art taken with the words of thy mouth.

Proverbs 14:1 Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.

When You Are Tempted To Tell Something That May Not Be 100% True – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Proverbs 6:16 These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him:

Proverbs 6:17 A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood,

Proverbs 6:18 An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,

Proverbs 6:19 A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

  • A talebearer has no place in God’s Favor!
  • It violates God’s Law and Commandment – “Do unto Others”
  • Love thinks no evil.
  • Speech that tears people down, travels like wildfire. Good news goes at a snail’s pace.
  • Sowing discord is hellish.
  • It’s from the pit.
  • It’s from Satan himself.
  • Is it your intention to destroy?
  • They that live by the sword, shall die by the sword.

If Your Words Are Meant To Get Even Or To Give Someone A “Piece Of Your Mind” – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

If You Know That What You’re Saying Can Hinder Revival In Your Church – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Galatians 5:15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another.

When The Subject Is None Of Your Business – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

1 Peter 4:15 But let none of you suffer as a murderer, or as a thief, or as an evildoer, or as a busybody in other men’s matters.

2 Thessalonians 3:11 For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.

If Your Words Will Damage Another’s Reputation Or Character – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 16:27 An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips there is as a burning fire.

Proverbs 18:8 The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly.

If Your Words Will Damage A Friendship – It’s A Good Time To Keep Your Mouth Shut!

Proverbs 17:9 He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeateth a matter separateth very friends.

Bottom Line:

If you want to gossip and be a talebearer, I can’t help you.

(You don’t even know what spirit ye are of.)

  • God may not even try to help you if you don’t want to change.
  • He may not even try to save you if you don’t want to change.
  • Why would He want that kind of spirit in heaven?

If You Want God To Be Good To You, You Must Be Good To His Children!

  • Gossip is a bigger terror and threat to God’s Church than ISIS.
  • Gossip is like a hit and run driver.
  • Gossip is not much different from a drive-by-shooting.

All We Have Is Our Name.

All We Have Is Our Character and Reputation.

  • Gossiper? Did it ever dawn on you that you are a tool of Satan?
  • That your every hurtful word is an abomination to God?

How to Stop Gossip?

  1. Change the subject.
  2. Say something positive
  3. Confront the gossip politely. Yet frankly. (“That sounds like gossip to me!”)
  4. Point out missing info in the story.
  5. Walk away.
  6. Turn the gossip into a prayer for the victim.

We All Must Give An Account For Our Every Idle Word.

Matthew 12:36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.

In One Church That I Know:

If You Commit Moral Sin…

  • The Pastor tries to be patient and merciful.

But If You Gossip And Don’t Stop After First Or Second Admonition,

  • You are no longer welcome.

Gossip Against A Minister.

1 Timothy 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

  • Against A Minister, receive not an accusation – (Don’t listen to the accusation)
  • There must be at least two actual witnesses before it can be told. That shows respect.
  • Why not show your brother in Christ the same respect? Why not two witnesses for him too?

With Gossip:

  • Unity is destroyed.
  • Revival will stop.
  • Friendships are broken.
  • Holy Ghost is grieved.

David Protected His Brother’s Inheritance!

1 Samuel 16:11-13

The first mention of David finds him tending sheep. He was the youngest of many brothers. The eldest son received two-thirds of the father’s possessions for his inheritance and the rest divided up the remaining third among themselves.

David was guarding sheep that would never be his. They would wind up being his brother’s sheep. He was in charge of his brother’s inheritance. He was told by the father to guard his brother’s inheritance.

In like manner, we too are guardians of our brother’s inheritance. All your brother has is his good name, (his inheritance) and you are the guardian of that. You may even have to defend it against a lion or a bear.

Remember that you too have a brother whose job it is to defend your good name. You sure want him to do a good job. Why don’t you protect your brother’s inheritance like David did?

Like Yours, Your Brother’s Good Name Is Worth Defending Too!

The Spirit Of The Church Is Worth Saving!

The Deadliest Plague Of All Can Only Be Stopped By You!

The Storm Painter

The Storm Painter

The painter of the storm had a mission. He had painted many a dark sky with thunderclouds before, but from a distance. He had painted the storms from the shore in the shelter of his studio where he was safe from all the elements of destruction. Today would be different. Artist Joseph Turner chose to view this storm outside his comfort zone.

He wished to paint what a storm looked like to him from the inside. This wasn’t to be just any April Showers moment. This storm would be a major blizzard, a rogue storm. Yet not just a bad snowstorm, but a snowstorm at sea. He wanted to view the storm from a boat while the waves threatened to sink his ship.

The seas were tumultuous, the waves high and rolling hard. There was no way he could stand on the deck and not slide off. He had to make a choice. He chose to be lashed to the mast of the ship for hours in the blinding freezing snowstorm. He wanted to paint it so real that on the canvass it would be hard to tell the sea from the sky.

‘Modern Painter’ website paid a huge compliment to Turner’s painting which he simply called Snowstorm.

Modern Painters described the Snowstorm, as “…one of the very grandest statements of sea-motion, mist, and light, that has ever been put on canvas.“

Maybe We All Are Painters

While almost none of us make our living as a professional painter, we still know a bit about the storms of life. Many know what it’s like to be tied to the mast and feel the snow, the sea spray, to be slapped in the face with freezing winds and have no defense from the storm. Imagine what it’s like to tied:

  • For hours with the snow beating your face.
  • For hours in the howling wind.
  • For hours with the ship struggling to survive the storm-tossed waves.
  • For hours seeing life-threatening skies and seas.
  • For hours in the bitter cold.
  • For hours of being wet and miserable.

Maybe We’ll Never Paint A Portrait Of Surviving The Storm…

Until We Too Have Been Tied To:

  • Heartache
  • Cancer
  • A Heart Attack
  • A Bad Marriage
  • Spousal Unfaithfulness
  • Financial Devastation
  • Rumor
  • Loneliness
  • Afflictions
  • Rejection
  • Depression
  • Lifelong Illness
  • Abuse

Maybe We’ll Never Be Able To Paint A Portrait Of Bearing One Another’s Burdens…

Until We Too Been Lashed To The Deck Of:

  • Stormy Seas
  • Tribulation
  • Shame
  • Embarrassment
  • Overwhelming Disappointment
  • Bitterness
  • Shattered dreams
  • Tears
  • Brokenness
  • The Death Of A Child
  • A Backslidden Spouse
  • An Addicted Love One

We cannot accurately paint the storm for others to see until we have lived through one our self. Naysayers may try to find fault with our story. But we have been there. We somehow survived. We felt the mast rub on our back. The rope burns will be there for a while. We suffered hypothermia. Our body shivered with the freezing snowstorm.

We thought of those we knew sitting at home in their warm little world. They could not help us now. It was no longer just a storm. It had become our storm. We chose not to waste our storm but share it with others in the hopes they would be helped or blessed.

Maybe We Will Never Truly Paint A Portrait Of Revival…

Until We Have Been Lashed To The Deck Of:

  • A Burden for souls
  • A Prayer Room
  • Travail
  • Tears
  • Vision
  • Compassion
  • Outreach

Maybe We Will Never Truly Paint A Portrait Of A Father’s Love…

Until We Have Been Lashed To The Deck Of:

  • A Wayward Child
  • Tearful Forgiveness
  • Showing Mercy
  • Patience
  • A Special Needs Child
  • Unconditional Love
  • Courage
  • Sacrifice

Maybe We Will Never Truly Paint A Portrait Of Deliverance From False Doctrine…

Until We Have Been Lashed To The Deck Of:

  • False Doctrine
  • Error
  • Tradition
  • Family Pressure

The Storms we survive should make us stronger.

The Storms we survive should be used to help others see.

The Storms we survive can later turn into a thing of beauty for us.

The Storms we survive are a gift from God.

(When we hear a testimony from someone who has survived a storm, it gives us all great hope!)

Some Apostolics Are Happy Their Pastor Ignores A Few New Testament Scriptures.

with 3 comments

Are Apostolics Happy Their Pastors Ignore Some New Testament Scriptures?

Apostolics by nature should be firm believers in “coming out from among them” and being separated from the world, and unto Christ. Yet, Christian approved sins may number more than we might first think. There is also a crowd that would ignore Biblical cautions and warnings because in their mind, that was only a guideline, not an actual sin.

It is our understanding that Holiness in both inward and outward. I find it safe to also say that what is on the inside will soon show on the outside.

We sometimes hear the subject of modesty talked about behind the pulpit. We also have many new choruses about God being a holy God. Yet, if we made a list of things we are comfortable not hearing about, it just might include a few of these New Testament Scriptures. There just too many to post here.

Heb 12:15 Looking diligently lest any man fail of the grace of God; lest any root of bitterness springing up trouble you, and thereby many be defiled;

  • Bitterness (Holding a Grudge)

Eph 4:31 Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:

  • Wrath, Anger
  • Clamour (A Big Outcry)
  • Throwing Fits
  • Evil Speaking (Criticism)
  • Malice

Eph 4:32 And be ye kind one to another, tender-hearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you.

  • Be Tenderhearted
  • Forgiving one another

1 Tim 5:13 And withal they learn to be idle, wandering about from house to house; and not only idle, but tattlers also and busybodies, speaking things which they ought not.

  • Gossipers
  • Busybodies

1 Tim 6:10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

  • Love of Money (Includes putting job before church?)
  • Coveting To Be Rich

1 Tim 6:4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,

  • Envy (Jealousy)
  • Strife
  • Railings (Words of Criticism)
  • Evil Surmisings (Imagining the Worst about someone)

1 Tim 6:5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.

  • Getting Caught Up In Twisted Doctrines And Beliefs

1 Tim 2:9 In like manner also, that women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with shamefacedness and sobriety; not with broided hair, or gold, or pearls, or costly array;

  • Costly Array
  • Modest Clothing
  • Gold,
  • Pearls

Heb 13:17  Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

  • Obey (The Pastor)
  • Submit Yourselves (One may obey without submitting, but it is impossible to submit without obeying.)

1 Tim 6:17 Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;

  • High mindedness

2 Pet 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

2 Pet 2:11 Whereas angels, which are greater in power and might, bring not railing accusation against them before the Lord.

2 Pet 2:12 But these, as natural brute beasts, made to be taken and destroyed, speak evil of the things that they understand not; and shall utterly perish in their own corruption;

  • Lust of Uncleanness
  • Despise Governments (Don’t want to be told what to do.)
  • Presumptous
  • Self-willed
  • Not Afraid to speak evil of dignitaries (Especially means your pastor)
  • Railing Accusations
  • Speaking evil of things they don’t understand.

Jude 1:16 These are murmurers, complainers, walking after their own lusts; and their mouth speaketh great swelling words, having men’s persons in admiration because of advantage.

  • Murmurers
  • Complainers
  • Walking after their own lust (Doing whatever they want)

1 Pet 2:11 Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;

  • Fleshly lusts

Matt 5:28 But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.

  • Emotional Adultery

2 Tim 2:22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.

  • Flee Youthful lusts (If it includes more than the sensual, could it also include sports?)

2 Tim 2:23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.

  • Avoid Foolish and Stupid Questions (They just start fights)

1 Cor 11:14 Doth not even nature itself teach you, that, if a man have long hair, it is a shame unto him?

1 Cor 11:15 But if a woman have long hair, it is a glory to her: for her hair is given her for a covering.

  • Men – Get A Haircut.
  • Women – Don’t Ever Cut It

Matt 5:41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

  • Love The Neighbor (Neighboring Countries Too?)

Matt 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;

  • Love Your Enemies
  • Bless Them That Curse You
  • Do Good Things To Them That Hate You
  • Pray For Them That Are Unkind To You

1 Jn 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

1 Jn 2:16 For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

  • Love Not The World
  • Love Not The Things In The World
  • Lust of the Flesh
  • Lust of the Eyes
  • Pride Of Life

Jas 4:10 Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and he shall lift you up.

  • Humility

Jas 4:11 Speak not evil one of another, brethren. He that speaketh evil of his brother, and judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law: but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge.

  • Speaking Evil And Unkind Things Of One Another

1 Tim 5:19 Against an elder receive not an accusation, but before two or three witnesses.

  • At Least Two (or Three) Witnesses Needed Before Accusing An Elder.

1 Tim 5:20 Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear.

  • Saints That Sin Should Be Rebuked In Church?

Jas 4:15 For that ye ought to say, If the Lord will, we shall live, and do this, or that.

  • Not Saying, “If The Lord Wills)

Jas 4:16 But now ye rejoice in your boastings: all such rejoicing is evil.

  • Boasting

Jas 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.

  • Ignoring The Word

Jas 1:26 If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man’s religion is vain.

  • Not Watching What You Say

Jas 1:27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.

  • Visit The Sick Orphans And Widows
  • Keep Yourself Unspotted (Unaffected by) The World

Rom 1:24 Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:

Rom 1:25 Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.

Rom 1:26 For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

Rom 1:27 And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompense of their error which was meet.

Rom 1:28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

Rom 1:29 Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

Rom 1:30 Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

Rom 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

Rom 1:32 Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

  • Surely This Doesn’t Need To Be Explained Further

2 Tim 3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

2 Tim 3:17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.

  • There’s A Reason For Every Scripture In The Bible.
  • Don’t Ignore
  • Don’t Pick And Choose.

Acts 20:26 Wherefore I take you to record this day, that I am pure from the blood of all men.
Acts 20:27 For I have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God.

  • Peter Wasn’t Afraid To Say What Needed To Be Said
  • May God Help Us All

“Put That Cigarette In Your Mouth And Eat It Right Now, You Stupid Fool!”

with 4 comments

“Put That Cigarette In Your Mouth And Eat It Right Now, You Stupid Fool!”

My old white ’68 Dodge pick-up truck rattled west on Dragoon Trail through the south side of Mishawaka, Indiana. My Hospital calls had all been made, and I had visited some sick folks in their home as well.

It was almost five o’clock on this lovely Sunday afternoon in October.  I looked again at my watch. I had to get to church in South Bend on time.

I came around a gentle curve and saw a 1970’s style convertible upside in my lane. No one else was at the scene, although several houses were nearby. Stopping my truck about fifty feet away, I ran towards the car.

Five bodies lay still on the asphalt. The smell of beer and gasoline was overwhelming for me. Gas was dripping freely on the ground and on them too. Blood was everywhere on their faces and it pooled freely on the asphalt, mixing with the gas.

Half of a tongue was on the pavement beside a two-year old’s head. A soft whimper could be heard and a groan came from someone.

Beer cans from the car littered the area. These people all had to be extracted from under the car, now.

I knew I should wait and call for an ambulance under normal conditions. But this was long before cell phones, so I had no way to call.

There was nothing normal about potential gas explosions, and I couldn’t leave these folks here to burn up. I had to do something.

I was in my Sunday suit, but I got on the ground anyway and crawled under the upside-down convertible. Gas dripped readily on me too. I searched for the baby who was whimpering.

I heard footsteps behind me as I carefully pulled the baby out first. An Indiana State Trooper was the second person on the scene. I was very relieved to see him and gave him the baby. He wrapped it up carefully and carried it to a safe place and came back for more.

He told me to stay under the car and hand him the children. I removed the second child from under the car, to the safety of the Trooper.

By now, two-dozen travelers and neighbors gathered around to watch. I overheard a voice saying, that the drunk driver had been dating the young mother for several weeks now and had taken her and her family for a Sunday drive even though he was drunk.

She loudly told us all that the man was just no good, in her opinion, and she hoped he was dead. She especially wanted us to know that the woman was too good for him, but she that just wouldn’t listen to anyone say so.

The third lifeless child was in my arms by now. There was no proper setting under the car to give CPR. They had to be moved to a place of safety first. My suit reeked with the smell of gasoline, and I had blood me. I feared for my own life, but I feared for theirs even more. They were helpless, they were injured, and they were at the mercies of those around them.

I was still on my belly scooting backwards with the third child in my arms when I heard the Trooper yell at a man standing a few feet away. The Trooper, although partially under the car by now, had drawn his service revolver and was pointing it up at a man’s head. I froze.

The Trooper screamed, “Put That Cigarette In Your Mouth And Eat It Right Now, You Stupid Fool! You’re Going To Blow Us All Up Because There’s Gas Here And You’re Smoking A Cigarette! NOW! EAT IT NOW!

The man put the burning cigarette in his mouth and began to chew. The Trooper put away his revolver after the man swallowed, I then handed him the last child. That’s when the fire trucks and ambulances arrived. I crawled out, when the Fireman asked me to, as he crawled under the car from the other side. They were now in charge, and my work was done.

The Officer shook my hand and thanked me. But our efforts were to no avail. All five were pronounced dead at the scene.

In his drunkenness, the man had killed himself and four others. For the first time in my life I felt hatred well up in my mind against the driver for what he had done to the innocent people in his car. (I had to pray about that hatred later, but for now it was real and still very alive.)

Over the years, most of us have turned a corner on Life’s Road and seen a tragedy or two of some sort. Our hearts have no doubt ached at their great loss, even though we didn’t even really know them.

  • What we do, and how we react at such an event, says so much about us.
  • Do we stand around smoking “our cigarettes” just watching the tragic scene for its entertainment value?
  • Does it ever occur to us that our careless handling of fire at such a time may endanger more than we realize, and blow things up?

How Do You React When You Hear Bad News About Someone?

  • Do you try to help?
  • Do you just watch and make comments
  • Do you say things that stir up hatred in someone else’s heart?
  • Do you bring explosiveness to the situation?
  • Some church folks ignore the “I am my brother’s keeper” verse.

Remember, how we respond to tragedy, tells the world a lot about us, and we don’t even have to say a thing.

I’ll never forget the lady who gossiped about the dead man and woman. She told things about them I won’t write about. She wanted everyone to know.

I’ll also never forget the Trooper’s words: “Put That Cigarette In Your Mouth And Eat It Right Now, You Stupid Fool! You’re Going To Blow Us All Up Because There’s Gas Here And You’re Smoking A Cigarette! NOW! EAT IT NOW!

What Do You Do When You See A Backslider? How Do You React?

A Private Company

with 4 comments

A Private Company

There exists a Private Company that specializes in secrecy, but is daily impacting lives and changing the world.

  1. This Company specializes in intense Membership training.
  2. Almost everyone in the Company eventually goes into some area of management.
  3. No unions are wanted or needed.
  4. Each local Company is autonomous. There is no Corporate Office.

At first, it is mandatory for every member of the Company to report in daily.

After tenure has been established, Members are encouraged to report in daily, but it is not mandatory.

From the first day in the Company, each Member’s position becomes secure.

Members might be ignored, laughed at, hated, loved, despised, or tolerated by other Team Members, but their position is locked in.

  • Each Member is encouraged to recruit a new Member into the Company.
  • Random cash bonuses may become available to all.
  • Each Team Member has the authority and ability to solve any Company problem of their choosing.
  • However, most Team Members create more problems than they ever solve.

Each One In The Company Chooses At What Level They Wish To Participate.

  • Yet, if they remain uninvolved, or uncommunicative, they still remain a part of the team.
  • Each Member has knowledge of a secret key to build up the Company or destroy it.

The Company is not allowed to go ‘public’ on Wall Street.

The Company never advertises on a billboard, radio, television or newspaper… Yet the growth rate is phenomenal.

Each Member, among their other duties, acts as an official Press Agent for the Company.

The public willingly believes whatever you, as the Company Press Agent, divulge.

  • Removal of a Member that has been recruited may take a court order, and is always traumatic.
  • Other Team Members may or may not help you on any given project. It’s their call.
  • Bankruptcy can’t even put the Company out of business.
  • There are never any dues

Occasionally there will be unannounced Staff Meetings, and it is important that all Members be there.

Seldom are these Meetings ever occasions for awards or commendations. They are always dreaded.

Any Member may call for a Staff Meeting.

Everyone knows who the Boss is.

  1. When the Boss dies, another takes that position without a vote or appointment. No election is ever held.
  2. Hurt feelings are a serious and common work hazard.
  3. Bitterness and Anger are the most common enemies of the Company’s existence and almost always brings disaster.
  4. Every Member has been known to support others on the Team in good times and bad.

Each Company Is Different. Some Are Involved In Activities Like:

  • Sports,
  • Politics,
  • Fitness,
  • Religion,
  • Food Preparation and Fine Dinning,
  • Money Management,
  • Travel,
  • Recreation,
  • Education,
  • Decorating,
  • Boating,
  • Big Game Hunting,
  • Child Care

Some welcome visitors, and provide a tour that almost always includes a free luncheon.

Others welcome the public by invitation only.

Security is highly prized in the Company.

Each local Company determines what benefits are desired, and when they should be dispersed.

  • The Company can survive and even thrive in capitalism or communism.
  • It matters not if it is in a country ruled by a King, a President, or a Dictator.
  • It matters not if it is located in an urban setting, rural or even in the ghetto.
  • It survives in spite of zoning laws, no parking signs, economic down turns, or holidays.

All Members retain their position for life.

There is no ‘30 and out’ requirement.

There is constant gossip at the water cooler.

Invasive Background Checks are not uncommon.

  1. Private calls are not frowned on, but rather encouraged.
  2. While dress codes differ, there are no uniforms or name tags.
  3. The Company will thrive without advertisement. Its name will never be seen on a billboard, in a commercial or a newspaper.
  4. The Company’s only means of public awareness is by word of mouth.

What Is This Company?

Where Can I Find One In My Area?

You’re Too Late.

You’ve Found It Already.

You Have Been A Working Member Of A Private Company For Years Already!

Thanks Right!

  • I’m talking about your Family.
  • Your Family!
  • Your Family is what you make it!
  • What are you making out of your Family?

If I Were The Devil

“If I Were the Devil…”

by

Paul Harvey, 1965

I would want to engulf the whole world in darkness. And I would have one-third of the real estate and four-fifths of the population , but I wouldn’t be happy until I had the ripest apple on the tree. So I’d set about, however necessary, to take over the United States get important realtors like burnaby real estate and others to help me win USA and Canada.

I’d subvert the churches first; I’d begin with a campaign of whispers. With the wisdom of a serpent I would whisper to you as I whispered to Eve: “Do as you please.”

To the youth I would whisper, “The Bible is a myth.” [our note: I heard this from a humanities instructor when I was in college–a breeding ground for the sowing of wickedness into the minds of those that have to memorize blasphemy in order to pass the course and get out and go past conscience to continue doing what they are told.]

I would convince them that man-made God [our note: in college in a philosophy “class” I was told the lie, “There is no God.” That was a lesson in lies.] instead of the other way around.

I would confide that what’s bad is good and what’s good is “square.”

In the ears of the young married I would whisper that work is debasing [our note: Americans are pleasure-loving people. Some are obese from lack of work meanwhile others pay somebody to mow the grass while they go to the “Fitness Center.” The children sit in school all day and then in front of the tv for hours on end in the midst of broken-down toys and eating processed foods full of refined sugar. The children do not work. They have no skills. The body and mind need to be involved in work. We were not made to be idle. A day of productivity is satisfying to both young and old.], that cocktail parties are good for you.

And to the old I would teach to pray after me: “Our Father, who art in Washington…” [our note: America seems to become more communist by the second.]

And then I’d get organized; I’d educate authors in how to make lurid literature exciting, so that everything else would appear dull and uninteresting.

I’d threaten television with dirtier movies and vice versa.

I’d peddle narcotics to whom I could; I’d sell alcohol to ladies and gentlemen of distinction; I’d tranquillize the rest with pills.

If I were the Devil I’d soon have families at war with themselves, churches at war with themselves, and nations at war with themselves; until each in its turn was consumed. And with promises of higher ratings I’d have mesmerizing media fanning the flames.

If I were the Devil I’d encourage schools to refine young intellects [our note: the schools disrupt and destroy young intellects and parents look on in horror as their children disintegrate before their very eyes. Parents need to REPENT of the sins and BELIEVE on the Lord Jesus Christ and OBEY his word and then they can be saved and rear their children correctly.] but neglect to discipline emotions: let those run wild. Before you know it, you’d have to have drug-sniffing dogs and metal detectors at every school-house door. Within a decade I’d have prisons overflowing.

With flattery and promises of power I would get the courts to do what I construe as against God and in favor of pornography.

I’d designate an atheist to front for me before the highest courts and I’d get the preachers to say, “She’s right.” Thus, I could evict God from the courthouse, then from the schoolhouse, and then from the Houses of Congress.

And in His own churches I would substitute psychology for religion and deify science. I would lure priests and pastors into misusing boys, girls, and church money.

If I were the Devil I would make the symbol of Easter [our note: Easter is a pagan festival] an egg and the symbol of Christmas [our note: “Christmas” is a blasphemy] a bottle.

If I were the Devil I’d take from those who have and give it to those who want it, until I had killed the incentive of the ambitious.

What’ll you bet that I couldn’t get whole States to promote gambling as the way to get rich?

I would caution against extremes: in hard work, in patriotism, and in moral conduct.

I would convince the youth that marriage is old-fashioned, but swinging is more fun; that what you see on television is the way to be; and thus I could undress you in public and I could lure you into bed where there are diseases for which there is no cure.

Then I would separate families, putting children in uniform, women in coal mines and objectors in slave-labor camps.

In other words, if I were the Devil, I’d just keep doing what he’s doing.

A Good Day For A Vulture

A Good Day For A Vulture

Some sat on the sidelines and watched. Others from their lofty heights monitored the situation closely. It was just a matter of time. They all knew that.

They all had seen this scenario played out before. It always unfolded in slow motion. They were used to the waiting game, but it was worth the wait. The focus of their attention had made one fatal mistake and now he was badly hurt. They couldn’t take their eyes off of their victim.

They watched and they watched and they watched.

They waited and they waited and they waited.

It almost always turned out the same. They were ready for it this time. They wanted to see death come. They wanted to tear the victim apart. They couldn’t wait to get their fill of him. They couldn’t wait to pick him to pieces. They were vultures, and that’s what vultures do best.

They had watched him struggle to survive for the last mile or two across the wasteland. His weakness excited their thirst for blood. The injured traveller had struggled valiantly to make it to safety, but to no avail. Their joy was in his weakness. Their future depended on his failure.

  • There was no one to help him.
  • He had no water to drink.
  • He had nothing to defend himself with.
  • He had nothing with which to dress his wounds.
  • Fever caused by infection, racked his emaciated body.
  • His strength was gone.
  • He had lost a lot of blood.
  • A few hours earlier, he had fallen to the ground.
  • He now had no strength to rise.
  • He couldn’t go on.
  • He was finished.

This was a good day for a vulture. The vultures began to get braver and come closer. They could barely see signs of him breathing.

Vultures passing by noticed the large gathering of their kind and excitedly joined the crowd. This would be a good day. Something or someone had fallen to the ground. That always made their day.

They wanted to see death come. They wanted to tear the victim apart. They couldn’t wait to get their fill of him. They couldn’t wait to pick him to pieces. They were vultures, and that’s what vultures do best.

There would be no restraint. There were no rules of decorum. There would be no referee or umpire to stop them. They would rip, tear, flap their wings, squawk and devour the victim without mercy. They would leave nothing but a skeleton.

Vultures do not care what they look like to the rest of the world. Their actions are just a manifestation of their degenerate nature.

Every vulture would soon gorge himself. They would soon tear the victim apart. They couldn’t wait to get their fill of him. They couldn’t wait to pick him to pieces. They were vultures, and that’s what vultures do best.

In an hour or two, his white bones would lie bleaching in the sun. This victim would only be a brief moment in time for them. He would just be a little something to help them fill their day.

Tomorrow they would be looking for another victim. They always were looking for a fresh victim. They wanted to tear the next victim apart too. They couldn’t wait to get their fill of him. They couldn’t wait to pick him to pieces. They were vultures, and that’s what vultures do best.

This Was A Good Day For A Vulture.
